02Silica gel
A pre-activated form of column silica: thermally treated to reduce surface water, ready for column loading without further drying in the lab. Three fractions — 50–100, 100–200 and 200–500 μm — cover the typical flash- and gravity-column workloads.
§ A — DESCRIPTION
Standard КСК silica adsorbs atmospheric moisture and is conventionally activated at 100–110 °C for several hours before serious work. АСК ships pre-activated, eliminating that prep step — particularly valuable in steady preparative workflows or when oven capacity is limited.
In selectivity and chemistry АСК is identical to the equivalent КСК fraction; the only difference is its ready-to-load state. Supplied in sealed packaging; under prolonged or non-sealed storage atmospheric moisture returns the sorbent to its standard state and re-activation is required. Supplied on order.
